We ask
You have at least an MSc degree in a discipline relevant to Environmental Systems Analysis. You have a few years of experience in ecosystem services assessment and valuation. Interest in or, preferably, experience with database development is an advantage.
We offer
The ESA group has a vacancy for a Researcher in integrated assessment and valuation of ecosystem services. The vacancy is part of several long-term projects aimed at the development of an Integrated Assessment framework for ecosystem services as a tool for multi-functional sustainable land use planning, management and decision-making.
1) An EU-funded project (ODEMM 2010-2013) in which you investigate the costs and benefits of the effects of management options on ecosystem services in marine systems
2) Within the WUR Speerpunt Ecosystem & Landscape Services (SELS) you will contribute to the development of a database on biophysical and economic indicators to quantify and model ecosystem services under different management options (co-funded by the Netherlands Environmental Assessment agency).
This vacancy is at Wageningen University. According to our collective labor agreement we offer a temporary appointment for 1 year. It is possible to extend the period of employment with another 2 years. Working hours between 32 and 38. Salary scale 11, gross salary between € 3195,= and € 4374,= a month based on fulltime position, dependent on experience and expertise.
