ESP is a young and developing network organization. Therefore many of our services are still in development and we rely on the initiative of of our partners and members. As a member, you can become active in the development and integration of ESP Services and other activities of the partnership. The partnership offers and facilitates a wide range of services:
Networking & Outreach: The ES-Partnership is an open network to link researchers and practitioners with stakeholders, policy makers and end-users of ecosystem services, locally and globally. The Partnership aims to strengthen the communication between the network-members and other website users to enhance the science of ecosystem services and to bring the concept into practice for conservation and sustainable use. >>> read more
Case Studies & Showcases: A global network of case studies and showcases is needed where scientists work closely together with practitioners and local communities to understand how these “socio-ecological systems” work and learn how to use the ecosystem services concept for improving Ecosystem Based Management. >>> read more
Data & Knowledge sharing: The ES-Partnership provides an interactive platform to enhance communication on ES research, outreach and synthesis to create a network that becomes a single, reliable, consistent source of ecosystem service expertise. Furthermore, there is a rapidly growing amount of data and (spatial and dynamic) models on ecosystem services scattered in many different places and stages of development. Guidelines & Toolkits: As the concept of Ecosystem Services is becoming more and more mainstream in science, policy and practice, it becomes increasingly important to develop guidelines and toolkits to ensure proper use, avoid confusion and undesired outcomes. >>> read more
Funding/Cooperation calls: The ES-Partnership aims to facilitate the development of collaboration and joint project proposals by providing an interactive platform where ESP members can submit Calls for Collaboration and inform eachother about funding opportunities. >>> read more
