Its vision is to make the Ecological Footprint as prominent a metric as the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). | Water Footprint Network | The interest in the concept of the water footprint and the accompanying methods and tools is overwhelming. The mission of the Water Footprint Network is to promote the transition towards sustainable, fair and efficient use of fresh water resources worldwide. The network faces the challenge to work towards broadly shared standards on water footprint accounting.
